Terms & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: [DATE TO BE ADDED BEFORE LAUNCH]

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to clients receiving therapy sessions at Gemma Holistics, operated by Gemma Avila from Garswood, Warnford, Hampshire SO32 3LH.

Professional standards

Gemma is a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR), a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), and a member of the Jikiden Reiki UK Association. She abides by the professional codes of conduct of these organisations.

Enquiries and booking

All new client bookings are preceded by an initial conversation – typically by phone or email – to discuss the therapy and make sure it's a suitable fit. A booking is not confirmed until this conversation has taken place and Gemma has sent you a confirmed booking link.

Health declaration

You will be asked to complete a brief health declaration before your first session. Please be honest and thorough – some conditions affect whether certain therapies or techniques are appropriate. If your health changes between sessions, please let Gemma know before your next appointment.

Cancellation policy

I understand that life happens and sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I'd appreciate at least 24 hours' notice so I can offer the slot to someone else.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may be charged in full – but please don't hesitate to get in touch if something unexpected has come up. I'd always rather we talked.

Right to refuse treatment

Gemma reserves the right to decline to provide or to stop a session if she considers it clinically inappropriate, or if a client's behaviour is unsafe or disrespectful. In such cases a full refund will be offered if payment has already been made.

Clients under 18

A parent or guardian must be present throughout any session with a client under 18. See the therapies for children and teenagers page for full details.

Medical disclaimer

Complementary therapies are not a substitute for medical care. If you have a health concern, please consult your GP or a relevant medical specialist. Gemma is happy to work alongside medical treatment where your medical team is supportive.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment, please speak to Gemma directly in the first instance. If the matter cannot be resolved, you can raise it with the Association of Reflexologists (www.aor.org.uk) or the relevant professional association.

Note: this is a draft template. Gemma should review before go-live and consider whether additional clauses are needed.
